My experience with Google tools is, I’m proud to say, pretty well rounded. Using tools such as gmail, google talk, google documents and presentation, and google pages has been very handy when working in an online environment. As my husband and I have very complicated schedules, and I travel for work, we keep an online shared calender. This calender has proven a great place to put things (like birthdays, social functions, school deadlines and my trips) so that we can reference one another’s schedules. I plan on utilizing this tool even more when we have other, shorter people to be in charge of.
Yahoo groups is a tool which I have utilized for one purpose: online football pools. My girlfriend in Boston always heads a pool up, I always sign up and then I never remember to submit my picks for the week and end up loosing if for no other reason than I never submitted picks on which to receive points. Her 2008/2009 season plans include money, so… I’m not sure I’ll be in this year.
